It’s like someone turned on a fire hose outside here today.
I wore a rain jacket and wellies to class this morning, but neither were very much use, because it was raining EXTREMELY hard.
A friend and I went out for a sushi lunch and were soaked by the time we got inside the restaurant. We dried off just in time to go outside and get soaked again. After that, I didn’t care so much, I didn’t bother with the rain jacket anymore.
The rain also thought it would be a good idea to knock my power out this morning…right after I put my malt-o-meal in the microwave and also right after I got in the shower. So it was tea and a nutrigrain bar for breakfast for me. I had to go to a friend’s apartment a couple of blocks over (who happened to have power) so I could use her blow dryer…not that it made that much of a difference of course, but I figured it was better to have rain spattered hair rather than show up to class with a soggy wet head.
The rain hasn’t let up any either…not so good when you live in a down that doesn’t seem to have proper drainage…when it rains here, it just sort of seems to sit in 6 inch puddles everywhere. Oh well, thank goodness for wellies. If they could just invent water repelling pants, we’d be set.
