What do you do when you REALLY know that something a friend is doing is, well, moronic? Do you talk to them about it? Ignore it and see what happens? Voice it (semi)anonymously on the internet?
Said friend doesn’t read my blog, but I still don’t want to air all her personal problems on the internet, because that wouldn’t be fair. Let’s just say that she’s making some extremely questionable decisions.
I know, I should sit her down and have a chat with her (because if it were me, I would want someone to present the situation to me from their point of view), but I know if I do, I risk alienating her.
If I don’t, then well, I’m letting her down.
Don’t get me wrong-I try VERY hard not to be a busybody. I firmly believe that everyone has a right to live their life the way they want to, even if it seems questionable to those on the outside. Because well, you can’t be in anyone’s shoes but your own.
BUT.
If someone I love and care about is doing something that I believe is harmful to them, then I can’t sit idly by and let that happen.
It’s a hard decision to make.
Huh.
