Happy Halloween!
It’s a rainy Halloween day here, I hope it clears up tonight so all the trick-or-treaters won’t get soaked.
My Halloween began yesterday, when I took the Pre-K class I am working with right now “trick-or treating” around the high school building they are located in. They loved it. Well, aside from one little boy, who said “Miss Rachel, this is a HORRIBLE way to go trick-or-treating!” I think he was upset because one teacher wanted them to come in “so the class could see them” but didn’t have any candy for them! I don’t want to teach them to be little beggars or anything, but honestly…if we parade ourselves around your classroom, you better be giving those kids some candy! The highlight of my trick-or-treating time had to have been when one high school boy told me and my teacher-in-charge that he thought we were the cutest of all, then blushed about 25 different shades of red.
Seriously, my favorite part was seeing all the kids costumes, they were too stinking cute! My favorites had to be a princess, a bat, a fireman, a police officer, and Captain America….the bat was probably the best though. Not a batman costume, a FRUIT bat costume (I think maybe that idea came from reading “Stellaluna” in class the other day).

I had tiger-striped ears, bow tie, and tail. The kids said I was a kitty cat. Close enough!
