Today, D was sitting on the couch watching a few minutes of tv while I hunted for my shoes and purse and stuff. The show on the tv was “The Marriage Ref”…not something D would ordinarily turn to, but it was what I had left the tv on. This episode had Eva Longoria, Jerry Seinfeld, and Tina Fey as the judges.
“She reminds me of you,” says D.
“Who, Eva Longoria?” I ask, utterly confused.
“No, the other one, the funny one.”
“Tina Fey?”
“Yeah, her.”
“I look like Tina Fey?”
“No, she just reminds me of you.”
OMG…Best compliment ever! I’m sure some women would rather hear that they are pretty, or something like that. Me? I’ll take funny any day. Pretty fades, but funny? Funny is forever.
(But, in D’s defense, he does tell me that I’m pretty all the time. I think he’s pretty too, haha.)
