My apologies (even though I don’t like them) for my rant-tastic last post. How about some random crap to take the taste out of your mouth?
1. Today, I decided to flip my hair out, instead of curling it under. When I said that I decided, I really mean that I went to bed with it wet and this was what I could do with it without re-wetting it. I have a hair cut that is some sort of pixie cut-peter pan cut hybrid, but I usually just wear it straight (and then it looks like a really short bob…it’s a versatile haircut.) The verdict? I’m going to start wearing it like this more! (It also helps that D told me that it made me look like Ashley Greene...aka Alice Cullen. What can I say? I’m a sucker for compliments.)
2. While I’m sure that I would be crap at real tennis, as that would inevitably lead to someone (most likely me) getting hit in the face with a tennis ball, I have enjoyed playing the Wii tennis. Yesterday, my dad even played with me! He has never played Wii before, but he is better at the tennis game than I am! Probably because he is actually coordinated (and oh yeah, used to play tennis), but still, nothing like getting schooled by your 57 year old non-gamer dad.
3. I’ve also been playing Wii boxing. My arms are sore! It’s fun whaling on those wii characters. Gets out some of that pent up aggression that we all have. Satisfying.
4. I’ve been reading the book “I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell” by Tucker Max. And….IT IS HILARIOUS. I’m sure probably not very apropos for a early childhood teacher…but sue me, it’s funny. Like pee in your pants funny. I’m sure you would want your child’s teacher to have a sense of humor. If you don’t like it, blame my sister…she is the one that bought it.
5. I ordered an iPod touch this week! It should be here tomorrow! I am very excited…and also reconciling myself to the fact that I just bought myself another, more portable addiction. I say “more portable” because we all already know I am a laptop addict, but at 4 years old, my laptop battery finally gave up the fight. Since I was mostly running it on AC power anyway, I decided not to buy another battery for it in the time being (the battery life was never that great anyway). I hope I can motivate myself to start jogging in the mornings since I’ll have a nifty new iPod to listen to.
6. The D man is planning on going back to school! I am so proud of him and I know he will do awesome! He’ll be the smartest one in the class.
Well, that’s what is going on in my life right now.
What’s new with you?
